hoppers

I have been in Viroqua, Wisconsin looking for property. I am house sitting for some friends who live in the country. While I've been here I have been taking the dog for a walk everyday on a cleared path through the woods, up a dirt road and across a pasture. When I am on the road part of the walk there are many grasshoppers and when they jump they have wings like butterflies. They are quite beautiful.

And their sneaky ways
Bloom before me
Out of a daze

Butterflies for a moment
They fold their wings in
I can see them no longer
In their camouflaged skin
